Jan Fokke Van Den Bosch is responsible for the global procurement department at HSBC, a role he has held since March 2016, overseeing a team of 800 onshore and 600 offshore.  Jan’s career started when he was managing director of a start-up joint venture between ING Bank and Plantijn, a large group of printing companies. The start-up was a service centre for graphic design. After the introduction of the Apple Mackintosh, the venture was stopped and he continued to work with ING as a freelancer, revamping graphic companies in their bad-loan portfolio. Together with the ING CPO, Jan set up a consulting firm specialising in procurement and supply chain. He left as partner in 2000, joining A.T. Kearney’s operations practice. In 2011, he joined ING Bank as their global CPO and global head of CRE and facilities management.

Marco Romano
Chief Procurement Data & Analytics Officer

Marco applies more than 20 years of experience as a procurement practitioner and project manager and is responsible for the global procurement data, analytics and cognitive strategy and implementation. Marco joined IBM in South Africa before moving to the UK in 1999, to join the procurement organisation. Prior to working with IBM, Marco held positions in the IT and Insurance sectors. He has a degree in finance and auditing and has a PMP (Project Management Professional) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and is a PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner).

Michelle joined KPN in 2017, a market-leading ICT and telecommunications firm in the Netherlands, where her role will focus on increasing the value procurement brings to KPN.  Michelle was recently listed as ‘One To Watch’ on Supply Management’s Procurement Power List, and is on the ProcureCon Indirect 2019 Advisory Board. 
Phil Thomas

Phil is responsible for the sourcing function across Barclay’s globally, managing a team of 140 and an $8 billion spend. He is currently managing projects around Agile, ensuring Barclay’s deliver sourcing in an Agile method and work in “pods” to be more responsive to the business’ changing demands and utilise his teams diverse skillset.

He has delivered multiple procurement, supply chain and asset maintenance transformation programmes with a focus on cost reduction with savings in excess of $30mil per annum. Roger’s recent achievements have included supporting the business with key growth strategies, leveraging procurement capabilities for mergers and acquisitions, as well as new product development.
Amelle Mestari

Amelle is a highly-experienced Head of Procurement with a team of 14 procurement professionals covering Indirect purchasing, total FM, energy and projects works nationally. She is currently working on several major projects including digitalisation of procurement processes. Her biggest career success is working her way up from receptionist to Procurement head, demonstrating that motivated people from all backgrounds can make it with the right amount of determination, talent and leadership - something she has promoted passionately in her company. Tony has been Chief Procurement Officer at Society of Lloyd's since November 2016, with the focus on creating a Group Procurement Centre of Expertise. Tony is responsible for all aspects of global procurement and has over 25 years of experience in the Financial  Service sector and prior to joining Lloyd’s had held senior roles with a number of financial services firms that include Willis Towers Watson, Accenture, JLT Group and most recently Close Brothers. Since joining Lloyd’s his team have been shortlisted for the World Procurement Awards and recently named “Most Improved Procurement Operation” at the CIPS European Awards 2018.

Frenchie is responsible for transforming the delivery of frictionless and scalable outsourced shared services solutions and technology across the S2P lifecycle. She is an experienced Sourcing/Procurement Executive with deep knowledge and expertise in delivering large, outsourced, scalable shared service Customer Focused Operations. Frenchie created the global outsourced service model for Sourcing and Category Management at Microsoft, managing over 8,000 sourcing events resulting in over $400M in savings.

Fulden Sener

Fulden is currently leading Allianz global procurement transformation program for 400 procurement professionals in 30 countries. Her biggest career success is changing sourcing rule book  in monopolistic markets  and she sees the biggest opportunity in procurement as customer centric models and digital processes. Jayesh Joshi

Jayesh Joshi is Global Vice President for BT, leading teams across over 30 countries and has held leadership roles (including Chief Procurement Officer, European Managing Director) across multiple industries. Previously, he was Regional Procurement Director for Johnson & Johnson, across Asia-Pacific and prior to this, he was Managing Director for Zon Associates, UK, an award-winning transformation consultancy, holding contracts with leading private and public sector clients including Capita, Barclays, Vodafone, Leicester City, Oldham Council/Mouchel and Stoke City. Jayesh has led several commercial transformation programmes which have been widely reported in TV & Press.

Jayesh believes Procurement can be a force for good, and builds enabling functions that seek to expand beyond traditional deliverables. He has a genuine passion for talent development and has created Training and Development schemes in several roles, acts as a mentor to young entrepreneurs and speaks to graduates about procurement as a profession. He helped create an ecosystem in Asia for ‘Enable’, a charitable foundation that makes 3D printed hands for people who are missing fingers through accidents or birth defects. He is also the founder & ex-chair of the APAC CPO Forum, a best practice / networking group for senior procurement professionals from numerous industries including banking, manufacturing, oil & gas, healthcare, luxury goods and technology. Currently, Megan looks across the indirect services/procurement supply chain working with the different verticals (sales & marketing, HR, travel, IT, Logistics, product engineering services etc) working with her team on implementing global strategies locally and driving local strategies. She also manages the International Supplier Diversity Program outside of the US, to ensure Intel are working with an inclusive supply chain. Andreas is currently Group Head of Indirect Procurement for the Nordics, Tryg only operate in the Nordics, 1.5 bn in spend, team of 11 people. Andreas is largely focused on balancing IT strategy from a cost perspective including agile development and traditional projects across procurement.  Andreas thinks technology is the biggest opportunity for procurement as once you can leverage smart contracts and predicative analytics, spend analysis etc. combination of AI and in time blockchain technology you can make transactions that used to be manual and can be automated, which feeds into allowing the organisation to conduct strategic souring rather than operational.

Zsolt heads up telecoms and IT solutions procurement globally for Nokia following their movement away from the indirect/direct split of procurement. He is responsible for €4bn material and services spend, as well as the companies indirect Procure to Pay system for 110+ country operations of with a team of c130. Zsolt is also Nokia’s Procurement Integration Leader for the €14bn Alcatel-Lucent acquisition and is responsible for procurement synergy savings, procurement operations integration, transformation and fast and effective ways to maximise synergy savings and organisational effectiveness’.

She joined CIPS in June 2011 and is responsible for a global portfolio that encompasses CIPS’ external facing activity including Marketing and Communications; PR and Representation; Publications and Events, under the CIPS and Supply management brands; and the development of CIPS’ wider communities. Cath has an Executive MBA from Cranfield University School of Management. She has worked in marketing and general management in a number of sectors including financial services and retail. She led the launch marketing strategy of Bluewater, then Europe’s largest retail and leisure destination, and established Scoot as one of the UK’s biggest (and earliest) digital brands. More recently she was responsible for integrated insurance marketing strategies for the likes of M&S, HSBC and RAC. Cath regularly chairs and presents at CIPS events and other conferences, and is a spokesperson for CIPS on topics such as the role procurement has to play in eradicating modern slavery and the need for the profession to raise its game and raise its voice.

Having started her career as a supply manager with Owens Corning, she went on to work with FreeMarkets (Ariba) managing the sourcing projects of global enterprises. While there, Jenny first encountered colleague Jason Busch, who later co-founded Azul Partners and Spend Matters. After several years at FreeMarkets, working in Europe and Asia, Jenny co-founded e-Three in the UK. It specialized in procurement consultancy facilitated by strategic procurement technology. e-Three became a global partner of Oracle and was one of the first organizations to configure and host Oracle technology in the cloud. e-Three successfully merged and subsequently sold to a global Oracle partner based in North America. Now part of the Spend Matters team, Jenny brings her knowledge as a practitioner, business owner and source-to-pay technology advocate to the team and wider Spend Matters audience.
