His biggest successes  in his career are the Procurement team at River Island  being seen as a ‘Partner of Choice’ in a non-mandated environment to such an extent that when Procurement was mandated in the past year it was largely irrelevant, Responsibility for the build and fit out of an International Corporate HQ at Pentland, winning The British Council of Offices Award as the best new offices in Britain , Assuming a Procurement Management role at Toys R US with virtually no procurement experience and turning around the broken function to deliver success for the brand in its heyday, Remaining relevant after over 30 years as a senior procurement practitioner. He sees the biggest opportunity for the procurement industry as becoming  ever more vital in delivering increased value whilst  mitigating  Supply Chain Risk to ensure the continuity of supply.
