Michael Pearson (Past Speaker)

Michael is responsible for procurement across the entire Aspen insurance and re-insurance group globally, including establishing the strategy and leading a centre of excellence, and advises the business on best supplier management practice. Over the past year Aspen has been implementing a major Effectiveness and Efficiency Programme in order to reduce its expense ratio and enhance service to clients. Michael leads the External Spend workstream of this programme and his team has lead the procurement work for two major outsourcing agreements under the Strategic Sourcing work stream.  Using this experience, Michael will be chairing the  session on How can you effectively evaluate your suppliers to gain more control over quality whilst driving cost efficiencies. Michael has been responsible for travel management in a number of roles and he will also be hosting the roundtable on Travel.
