Paul Bestford

Paul leads the Burberry Procurement organisation, joining from the John Lewis Partnership in November 2017. Prior to that, Paul lived and worked in Switzerland with Novartis, where he led the organisational transformation program spanning 1,200 Direct & Indirect Procurement professionals responsible for $26bn annual spend. Later he led the indirect shared services Procurement organisation (400 people spread across 47 countries supporting 7 Divisions). Prior to Novartis, held a number of senior procurement roles in industry and consulting, including: Senior Director for Wyeth EMEA, Director of Consulting Services for Ariba in Northern Europe, Leadership of the Procurement Advisory Service for KPMG in London, Executive Consultant at Ernst & Young, and Procurement Manager at British Airways. Paul is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (FCIPS) and steering group member for the Institute’s Women in Procurement Leadership programme.
